Lieutenant Frank Dent serves as a Corrections Lieutenant for the City of Las Vegas Department of Public Safety and has been a public servant for almost eighteen years. He joined the Department of Public Safety in 2005 at the age of 21 years old. He has excelled at all facets of his professional career by exhibiting hard work, integrity and an open-mindset to change. In 2013, he decided to make a change and become a sergeant where he supervised over (15) officers.

In 2018, Lieutenant Dent became the department’s Training Sergeant where he was instrumental in improving processes and efficiencies. He developed programs to assist staff in their professional development and ensure staff has the most up-to-date equipment. As the manager of the Field Training Officer program, he was influential in providing robust training to our sworn officers and numerous civilian staff.
